NAS has two types of membership: ordinary members and supporting members.

The members may be experts on the acoustic field with an academic education from Norway or abroad, or other professionals who have acquired comparable knowledge in practical life. Also others, who have especially qualifications to promote the work of the Society through the ordinary membership, may be consented.

The contingent for the ordinary members is NOK 200, - per year. If you want to receive Acta Acustica as part of your membership, the contingent is NOK 400,- per year.

The membership gives:

– Members' newspaper NAS NEWS around 3 issues a year;

– Continuous information about meetings, courses, actual acoustic information etc. on e.-mail;

– Automatic membership in The Nordic Acoustical Society, European Acoustic Association (EAA) of International Commission on Acoustics (ICA);

– Possibility for membership in various technical committees in EAA;
– News magazine Noise News from I-INCE for those who wish to get it.

The board may consent organizations, companies, institutes and personal members who are interested in the goals of the Society, and who wish to support the Society with yearly contributions as supporting members.

The contingent for supporting company members is NOK 2000,- per year.

The membership gives:

– membership for one contact person for the company, organisation or similar;
– Free of charge exhibition place at NAS fall meetings;

– EAA Journal Acta Acoustica with about 6 issues a year;

– Members' newspaper NAS NEWS about 3 issues a year;

– Continuous information about meetings, courses, actual acoustic information etc. on e-mail;

– Automatic membership in The Nordic Acoustical Society, European Acoustic Association (EAA) of International Commission on Acoustics (ICA);

• Possibility for membership in various technical committees in EAA;
  – News magazine Noise News from I-INCE for those who wish to get it.
